Activision has just announced that Call of Duty: Black Ops has continued to sell extraordinarily well and managed to rack up more than $650 million in sales in just the first five days. That’s another pan-industry-wide entertainment record that’s just been shattered.AdChoices广告According to Activision, Call of Duty: Black Ops is just part of the story: it’s also part of “the first entertainment property in history to set five-day records for two consecutive years across all forms of entertainment.” They’re referring here to last year’s Modern Warfare 2, which sold $550 million last year over the course of five days.Black Ops‘ numbers aren’t just impressive when it comes to sales, though. It’s also set the new record for unique, same-day players on Xbox Live: an astonishing 2.6 million unique players, all of whom managed to log 5.9 million multiplayer hours in total the first day alone.last_img
