Erick ‘Jesus’ Coomes Shares Raw Emotion In First Episode Of Lettuce’s New Documentary Series [Watch]

first_imgThe members of Lettuce and their fans are excitingly preparing themselves for the start of a new album cycle here in the coming months. The popular funk band recently announced the details for their next studio album, Elevate, which is scheduled to arrive on June 14th via Regime Music Group. The band also previously hinted at the arrival of a new documentary series chronicling the making of their forthcoming album. On Wednesday, the band followed through on their tease by sharing the first episode for the new series titled, The Krewe, in coordination with the first single from Elevate.Related: Lettuce Welcomes Oteil Burbridge During Triumphant Weekend At Suwannee Rising According to the video’s premiere on Wednesday, each of the members of Lettuce will have their own episode as part of the documentary series. Each episode will treat fans to behind-the-scenes footage from inside the recording studio during the making of the album.The first episode focuses on bassist Erick “Jesus” Coomes, as he takes viewers into their studio space in Denver where one can apparently find an abundance mix of music, marijuana, and smile-inducing rose quartz crystals. Coomes takes time to explain the process of widdling down the list of unfinished songs to be focused on before deciding on a final tracklist for the album, in addition to sharing some raw emotion when discussing his musical upbringings. House panel OKs 12% tax on Netflix, Lazada, other digital services

first_imgThe approved measure amends Section 105-A of the National Internal Revenue with a provision making a non-resident digital service provider such as Netflix, Spotify, Lazada, among others, liable for assessing, collecting, and remitting the VAT on the transactions that go through its platform. ● a host of online auctions conducted through the internet, where the seller sells the product or  service to the person who bids the highest price; ● a supplier of electronic and online services that can be delivered through an information technology infrastructure, such as the internet. Further, digital service providers may also be: ● a third party that acts as a conduit for goods or services offered by a supplier to a buyer and receives commission therefore; ● a supplier of digital services to a buyer in exchange for a regular subscription fee over the usage of the said product or service; and MANILA – The House of Representatives ways and means committee has approved the measure that imposes 12% Value Added Tax (VAT) on some foreign and local companies providing goods and services via digital and electronic platforms. The measure, if passed into law, could raise P10 billion in revenue for the government, of which P9 billion will come from foreign companies that are based in the Philippines, according to Finance Assistant Secretary Daki Napao./PN ● a platform provider for promotion that uses the internet to deliver marketing messages to attract buyers; Digital service provider is defined in the bill as “an entity which provides digital service or goods to a buyer through an online platform for purposes of buying and selling of goods or services or by making transactions for the provision of digital services on behalf of any person.” “Digital service providers from outside [the country] gain profit from our constituents but they don’t pay tax [to Philippine government]. Franklin County FSA Holding Committee Elections

first_imgMichael E Kohlsdorf,  County Executive Director, Franklin County Farm Service Agency, announced the County Committee Election process for 2014 has begun with the announcement of the Local Administrative Area (LAA) boundaries and the posting of the eligible voter list at the FSA office.This year LAA-3 in Butler, Highland, Ray & Salt Creek Townships will be conducting an election.   A map, with specific boundaries, is available at the county office.The FSA County Committee is a unique and important partnership member with the USDA to administer the farm programs. Committee members are nominated and elected by their peers. Members serve a three year term and apply their judgment, experience, and knowledge when making local decisions regarding:The duties of FSA County Committee members include:Administering farm program activities conducted by the County FSA Office.Informing farmers of the purpose and provisions of the FSA programs.Keeping the State FSA Committee informed of LAA conditions.Monitoring changes in farm programs.Participating in county meetings as necessary.Performing other duties as assigned by the State FSA Committee.“We are seeking nominations from eligible voters to be placed on the ballot which will be mailed to eligible voters this fall”, Kohlsdorf said.  The nomination period is open from June 15 to August 1.Nominating form FSA-669A, can be obtained at the county FSA office, or obtained electronically at here >>Each form submitted must be:Limited to one nominee.Signed and dated by the nominee in Item 4.
