first_img Google+ WhatsApp Elkhart man hospitalized with head injuries, broken leg after motorcycle/vehicle crash Pinterest IndianaLocalNews (Jon Zimney/95.3 MNC) A 35-year-old Elkhart man was hospitalized after crashing into the side of a vehicle while on his motorcycle.The collision happened around 10 p.m. on Friday, June 5, when an Elkhart man behind the wheel of a ’67 Chevy Camaro was turning into a driveway in the 58000 block of County Road 13.The driver failed to yield the right of way to the man operating the motorcycle., according to the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Office.The victim hit the passenger side of the car and was ejected.He sustained head injuries and a broken leg, among other injuries and was taken to South Bend Memorial Hospital for treatment. 3 male guards accused in violent attack at NJ women’s prison

(AP) — New Jersey’s attorney general said Thursday that three prison guards are charged with misconduct stemming from a violent attack on at least six inmates at the state’s lone women’s prison. He says one women was punched 28 times and pepper-sprayed. Attorney General Gurbir Grewal said prosecutors found that the guards tried to cover up the attack at the Edna Mahan Correctional Facility for Women by filing false reports. He said the January attack involved about two dozen guards. Grewal said Thursday the investigation was still in its early stages but that the initial charges were meant as a deterrent.last_img read more

Jonathan Weaver (Molino, Fla. / Tate HS) and Peter Antoske (Olmsted Township, Ohio / St. Edward HS) received the honor for their performances last week.Weaver struck out a career high 11 in UWF’s 10-1 win over West Georgia on Saturday. Weaver went the distance over nine innings. He allowed one unearned run on six hits with no walks.Antoske picks up his second career GSC Player of the Week Award. Over six games last week against West Georgia and Arkansas Tech, he batted .450 (9-for-20) with eight RBI, five walks, five stolen bases, and a double. In a 10-1 win over Arkansas Tech, he went 3-for-4 with five RBI.Lee Huggins (Bay Minette, Ala. / Faulkner State CC), Bo Williams (Ocala, Fla. / Pensacola JC), Brett McCullough (Cantonment, Fla. / Tate HS), and Jon Sintes (Ft.
