Biden says ‘erratic’ Trump shouldn’t get intel briefings

first_imgWASHINGTON (AP) — President Joe Biden says Donald Trump’s “erratic behavior” should prevent him from receiving classified intelligence briefings, a courtesy that historically has been granted to outgoing presidents. Asked in an interview with CBS News on Friday what he feared if Trump continued to receive the briefings, Biden said he did not want to “speculate out loud.” But he made clear he did not want Trump to continue to receive the briefings. Whether to give a past president intelligence briefings is solely the current officeholder’s prerogative. Trump’s second impeachment trial is set to begin next week.last_img read more

Ideye: Goals will come

first_img The Baggies’ £10million buy has failed to score in the Barclays Premier League and has netted just once since his record summer move from Dynamo Kiev. Ideye has struggled for form and fitness, making just three league starts this season, but played all of the Baggies’ 1-0 win over Aston Villa on Saturday. Press Association Striker Brown Ideye has admitted he has struggled to adapt at West Brom, but revealed he has made a goal promise to his son. They go to QPR on Saturday following just their second win in 10 league games with Ideye likely to lead the line again and the 26-year-old insisted he was getting better, while conceding he had made a slow start to his Albion career. “I would say I have been working very hard,” he said. “The gaffer (Alan Irvine) said he wanted me to work hard and at times it has been difficult for me to adapt to the system the team plays. “I have to adjust to what I have to do when the team is playing, but right now I think I’m there and I am just working hard now. “I was always hungry to start for West Brom and I always give my best. “Sometimes it’s difficult but I have to keep on pushing and working hard for the team. “I am getting closer to my best. I have had a lot of things to deal with so I just have to be focused and take it one game at a time.” The Nigeria international’s four-year-old son, Brown Junior, watched the derby win at The Hawthorns and Ideye has vowed to score against Rangers for him. “He always wanted to see the dressing rooms so I had to take him in to see it,” he said. “He is happy we won, but he was disappointed I didn’t score – so I have told him I will score next time.” The pressure had been building on head coach Alan Irvine before Albion’s victory over Villa and Ideye was under no illusions of its importance. “I knew how important the game was for us as players and also for the fans, so I am very happy we won because I couldn’t imagine not winning,” he said. “We knew how important it was and we’re all happy to have the result and I am happy for the team and for myself.” last_img read more

first_img(Source: ekapija.ba) FC Sarajevo expects a great reinforcement. The negotiations between the current champion of B&H and great national team player of Montenegro, Simon Vukčević, are currently in progress. If this football player starts playing for maroon team, it would mean one of the biggest reinforcements in the history of the B&H football, considering the fantastic career that Vukčević has.In his rich career, this Montenegrin played for Partizan, Saturn, Sporting and Blackburn, and his last engagement was in Levadiakos. He wore national team jersey for 43 times, and he was a striker two times. The arrival of Vukčević on our biggest stadium is almost to be realized, as confirmed by his manager, Muhamed Harbaš.“I want to inform the army of FC Sarajevo fans that there is a mutual interest for the arrival of the Montenegrin national team player. It is true that Simon and I visited Sarajevo and we’ve done a fair and concrete interview with Ibraković Abdullah,” said the player’s manager adding that Vukčević is delighted by hospitality and atmosphere in FC Sarajevo and believes that his arrival would be a big deal for our league, considering the fact that no one else with a similar biography came in our league.“Now, the responsible people from FC Sarajevo are on the move and I can assure you that, if the club is interested enough, Simon Vukčević will be wearing maroon jersey from the next season. It all depends on how fast FC Sarajevo will react, because Simon has offers from Spain, Portugal and Turkey as well,” concluded Harbaš.Vukčević plays the position of center midfield, and he is known as one of the biggest talents from this region. This is proved by his current transfers that amounted to nearly 7, 5 million GBP. His arrival in FC Sarajevo will most likely open the doors to the other players, who most probably did not even think to play on B&H terrain.last_img read more
